Χριστόφορος is the Greek root of my given name, Christoph. Literally, it means Christ-bearer. As such, it reflects exactly what I am according to the New Testament: Jesus Christ, the son of God, has by his grace and through his Holy Spirit taken residence in me.

The other, more difficult aspect of being a Christ-bearer is the challenge of working out this status in practical, every-day life. Many articles on this site have to do with the questions that arise out of this. It is my hope and my prayer, that, as a Christ-bearer, my life would actually reflect his presence in a way that bears witness to his glory.
